From 21st to 23rd November 2025, Explorers from across the district will gather at Daviot Scout Campsite for a weekend packed with thrilling outdoor activities, team challenges, and classic campfire moments.
Whether you’re a seasoned Explorer or attending your first big event, there’s something here for everyone. Expect a buzzing atmosphere, an action-filled programme, and full catering to keep you warm, well-fed, and ready for more.
This isn’t just another camp – it’s the beginning of a new tradition.

Our incredible STAFF Team – made up of dedicated Young Leaders, Leaders, and Network members – have crafted a programme that’s challenging, inspiring, and loads of fun.

We’re looking for enthusiastic Scottish Leaders & Networkers to join our Staff Team. As a part of this years team, you will be the groundworks for future GDEWB!'s. GDEWB! is powered by passionate Volunteers like you..
Below are the key areas where you can contribute:
Inspire Adventure & Challenge
Do you love bringing energy and creativity to the table? The Activities Team is responsible for preparing for and delivering a wide range of fun and engaging activities for all participants. From Outdoor Adventures to Cosy Campfires, you’ll be at the centre of the action.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and run exciting activities that align with the event’s goals.
Ensure that participants are engaged and have a BLAST while at your activity.
Work closely with other volunteers to adapt activities based on group size and interest.
What We’re Looking For:
Enthusiastic individuals who are great at energizing groups.
Experience in organizing events or running activities (helpful but not required).
A love for working with young people and a commitment to making the event fun and inclusive.
The Backbone of the Event
If you enjoy hands-on tasks and problem-solving, the Site Logistics Team is the perfect place for you. This team ensures that everything runs smoothly, from setting up the campsite to managing equipment and keeping fires alight.
What You’ll Do:
Help with the setup and breakdown of the event infrastructure (Marquees, Gazebos, Activity Areas, etc.).
Oversee equipment distribution and ensure all resources are where they need to be.
Coordinate the flow of people and activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
Practical, solution-oriented individuals with an eye for detail.
Good at working under pressure and thinking on your feet.
No prior logistics experience necessary— just a can-do attitude!
Ensuring Safety for All
Safety is our number one top priority, and the First Aid Team is there to provide immediate care when needed. If you have a background in first aid, medical services, or just a strong interest in helping others, this is an essential role for the camp.
What You’ll Do:
Be on hand to administer first aid to participants and staff for minor injuries or illnesses.
Work closely with Event Organizers to ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Maintain first aid supplies and ensure they are accessible at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
Trained Scouting First Aiders
Calm under pressure and able to respond quickly in an emergency.
Strong communication skills to report and manage incidents as they arise.
Feeding the hungry!
Food fuels the fun — and the Catering Team keeps everyone warm, energised, and ready for adventure! From hearty breakfasts to late-night snacks, you’ll be helping to deliver delicious meals that keep spirits high all weekend long.
What You’ll Do:
Prepare and serve meals for participants and staff throughout the weekend.
Work with the Logistics and Programme teams to coordinate mealtimes smoothly.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety at all times.
Help with set-up, clean-up, and keeping the kitchen running like clockwork.
What We’re Looking For:
Confident cooks or helpers who enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment.
Good time management and teamwork — mealtimes can be hectic!
A sense of humour and a can-do attitude (especially at breakfast time!).
